CONVENIENT CENTER DISPOSAL RULES
Residents using the county solid waste convenience centers must comply with the following rules for disposal of household waste:
Household garbage must be bagged.
Burning or smoldering materials may not be disposed of at these sites.
No tires may be accepted at any convenience center other than Stoney Hill, Site #1, Middlesex and the Nash County Landfill.
No bricks, large stumps, logs, concrete, shingles, animal carcasses, animal waste or auto parts are accepted at the convenience centers.
Plastic bottles, wooden pallets, and oil filters must be recycled, not disposed of in the trash.
If more than 10 wooden pallets are being recycled, they should be brought to the landfill.
